You've decided to entertain business associates at home or you’ve just been put in charge of a large company event. [Panic.] Not only will your skills as a host and conversationalist be on display, but you are also responsible for all of the small details to create a memorable, well-planned event!

Fear not! Join us for a fun evening with our expert panelists who will share tips (and a few secrets) on how to bring order, ease, and flair to your event. Learn about the best food to serve, seating arrangements, ice breaker ideas, décor, and other do’s and don’ts.

Sherri’s event experience spans 25+ years and includes major fundraising events, multiple day festivals, and small, intimate gatherings.

JJ McKay, Founder and Publisher of The Fresh Toast, Board Chair of the Board for Mary’s Place, Board Member U.S. Bank
JJ has been called the “Perle Mesta of Seattle.” His parties have made the Seattle Times, the New York Post, and New York Times.

Chef John Howie, Chef, Restauranteur and Philanthropist
John is not only a chef, but also a restauranteur and philanthropist.  Proprietor of six local restaurants including Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar, John Howie Steak, and SPORT Restaurant and Bar, he also owns John Howie Restaurants Catering. John has been featured in Martha Stewart Living, the Cooking Channel, the Food Network, and more. 

Marka Waechter, CEO and Majority Owner of SHWorldwide
SHWorldwide is the state’s largest event planning company. Marka spent the majority of her career in the travel industry, where she was named one of “The Most Influential Women in Travel” in recognition of her contributions to developing online booking tools.
